Every football fan has asked it at least once: “What if?”
What if VAR existed in 1986? What if Mourinho had stayed at Real Madrid? What if Messi never left Barcelona?
Those questions, the ones that make you rethink football history, are what our show is built on.
The “What If…” Football Talk Show is a student-led project created as part of our master’s in Sports Journalism and Communication. Our goal is simple: to bring football debates to life through imagination, analysis, and journalism. We revisit iconic football moments and ask how one small change could’ve rewritten history.
Our team brings together six people: journalists, producers, and camera crew, that are all driven by the same passion for the game.
Every episode is filmed in one day, blending panel discussions, fan reactions, and expert takes into a single 30-minute episode. The idea isn’t just to talk about football; it’s to make people think differently about it.
At its heart, The “What If…” Football Talk Show is about perspective. It’s about revisiting moments we all know, and asking: what if they had gone differently?
